PART F: LOW CONTACT COMPONENTS AND PRODUCTS

INTRODUCTION

The relevant Regulations cover products used in contact with water intended for human consumption where the contact surface area and/or contact time are low. These products do not require the same rigorous evaluation as that applied to products such as pipes and their coatings. Full details of the types of products covered under this requirement are given in Section 3 of Advice Sheet 8 ( http://www.dwi.gov.uk/31/pdf/Advicesheet8.pdf). This Advice Sheet also contains guidance on the use of these components and products in the provision of public water supplies.
