This is a formal notice under section 17(1) of FOISA that the Scottish Government does not have all of the information you have requested. This is because the Government Car Service vehicles and drivers are operated as shared resources, and as a consequence frequently cover multiple customers throughout that day. We therefore we do not record costs for individual car journeys.

The Minister had a short time window and after reviewing scheduled ferry timetables it was decided that use of a local boat operator would make the best use of time on the island and provide support to a local business.
