This guidance provides advice for marine users who are planning to carry out an activity in the marine environment which has the potential to kill, injure or disturb a marine European protected species (EPS). The guidance can also be used by regulators, nature conservation agencies, enforcement authorities and competent authorities when considering whether an activity will cause or has caused death, injury or disturbance to a marine EPS. It has been prepared by Scottish Government (SG) in partnership with Scottish Natural Heritage (SNHi).
