Media reporting on child homicide victims: consultation - easy read

An easy read version of the consultation on media reporting on child homicide victims.

Raising awareness

If there were new rules about anonymity this might affect different people. We need to think about how we tell people about the rules.

People affected include:

  • journalists reporting on child homicides
  • members of the public who write online
  • friends and families who post messages about the child victim on social media.

We have been told that children and young people use social media a lot. We have also been told that they might have more trouble finding out about the rules.
