Bereavement abroad through homicide or culpable homicide - support: memorandum of understanding
Memorandum between the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office, the Police Service of Scotland, the Crown Office and Procurator Fiscal Service, Death Certification Review Service and Victim Support Scotland detailing the support to those who suffer a bereavement abroad.
4. Periodic Review
The Scottish Government will initiate a review every two years into the content of this Memorandum to ensure the processes and description of responsibilities contained within remain extant. This will be done not later than 1 December for each year of review and any changes, if agreed, will take effect from 1 April of the following year. All participants may agree alternative dates in writing.
The first review of this Memorandum will be completed by 1 December 2026.
