August 2023 top up recruitment
In August 2023 three original panel members left and eight new members were recruited.
Six of the new members were recruited in partnership with The Sortition Foundation, who went back to the original recruitment exercise and those who responded positively but were not selected. Two of the new members were recruited through outreach within the Expert Group and the people they work with. This was to recruit panel members under 25 as none of the respondents to the Sortition exercise were within this age group.
All new panel members were fully onboarded and given support to join and all eight were in attendance at their first panel meeting on 19th August 2023.
Upon recruitment, Involve asked additional demographic questions to collect some of the data that was generated for the original members through Sortition Foundation interviews and the February 2023 survey. Each section below begins by describing the panel demographic data respect of the original membership, and then the membership upon the August 2023 top up.
