National Care Service - making sure your voice is heard: seldom heard voices co-design findings - easy read
We have been working with organisations who support people from groups and communities who often have barriers to engaging with government. We wanted to engage with these groups as they have not been as involved as other groups in our previous co-design work.
Discussion sessions
We ran discussion sessions with people from different backgrounds and communities. The people had experience of accessing services.
At the sessions we talked about a lot of different things. Our sessions were held in different places across Scotland.
We also held some sessions online for people who could not travel.
We reached isolated communities and groups including:
- Gypsy and Traveller communities
- LGBTQI+ (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, intersex and other sexual identities) communities
- People with experience of homelessness
- Ethnic minority communities.
