Aye for Ideas STEM engagement campaign: resources
Promotional materials for the Aye for Ideas engagement campaign.
The STEM education and training strategy includes a commitment to:
- develop a national engagement campaign, in collaboration with the wider science engagement sector, to inspire and engage people of all ages and backgrounds with STEM
Aye for Ideas is a call to action – asking people to explore and discuss ideas, to discover the world around them through STEM activities and to develop a nation of curious minds.
Aye for Ideas gives everyone a voice to put STEM at the forefront of their mind, it gives people the opportunity to engage with STEM no matter their age, or level of comfort with these disciplines.
Activity is happening across the country and Aye for Ideas supports this by spreading a unifying message that STEM is for everyone.
We want partners across Scotland who are providing or facilitating STEM based activity to get on board with the campaign. From science centres, festivals and schools, to communities and businesses, we want to harness the collective power of the nation to engage everyone in Scotland with STEM.

The campaign has been used by a range of partners so far and in different ways including:
- on signage produced for shows and workshops which engage communities during visits to science centres
- on printed material including science festival brochures and ‘What’s On Guides’
- on website graphics
- on science programme events on websites
- on social media posts
