7 Role of the Mental Welfare Commission
You can contact the Commission if you want information and advice about your care and treatment rights. If the Commission has concerns about your treatment and care, it will look into your case. The Act says that the Commission still has the power to review and revoke your order. It will only use this power in exceptional cases. In general the Commission will refer your case to the Tribunal and will inform the Tribunal of any concerns it may have about your treatment and care.
