While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance the Scottish Government does not have the information you have requested on the total amount of NHS staff absent due to sickness.

1. The Scottish Government does not hold information on the total amount of NHS staff absent due to sickness from 2015-2019 separated by health board, month and year. NHS Education for Scotland publish annual sickness absence rates by health board from 2013-2023 which can accessed on the following link: NHS Scotland workforce | Turas Data Intelligence (sickness absence tab).

This is a formal notice under section 17(1) of FOISA that the Scottish Government does not have the information you have requested for question 1.
