Items and actions
Key discussion points
The group discussed:
General feedback
- useful to understand where recommendations did and did not fit with existing policy objectives
- wanted reassurance that the group being formed specifically with the remit of tackling issues for non-binary people would not result in the recommendations being understood as having fixed, hard boundaries, only addressing issues for non-binary people
- making sure that recommendations were worded in a way that allowed them to be fully understood when presented independently of background and contextual information
- the word “specific” be added to several recommendations to strengthen them
- what to do in cases where the draft recommendations would fall outside of the remit of the Scottish Government
Healthcare feedback
- feedback on the Healthcare recommendations and reframing some of the recommendations in light of feedback from officials
- the wording of the recommendations and gave suggested changes to be incorporated in the redrafting stage
Data collection feedback
- feedback from officials on the Data Collection recommendations
- the wording of the recommendations and gave suggested changes to be incorporated in the redrafting stage
Access to services feedback
- feedback from officials on the Access to Services recommendations and decided which recommendations to reframe in order to convey their original considerations more strongly
- the wording of the recommendations and gave suggested changes to be incorporated in the redrafting stage
- changes to the layout for this group of recommendations before final presentation
