Number of email addresses registered to certain educational authorities: FOI release

Information requested

1. How many email addresses are registered to Education Scotland?
2. How many email addresses are registered to the Scottish Qualifications Authority?
3. How many email addresses are registered to the Scottish Funding council?
4. How many email addresses are registered to Skills Development Scotland?
5. How many email addresses are registered to the Students Award Agency Scotland?

By registered email addresses I am referring to any email address attributed each of these agencies. For example, for Education Scotland I am looking for the number of ‘@educationscotland’ email addresses.

Response

The number of Education Scotland primary email addresses registered for ‘@educationscotland.gov.scot’ is 558. Primary email addresses include those allocated to an individual’s mailbox as well as those allocated to a shared mailbox.

While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance Education Scotland does not hold the information you have requested for all of the other agencies you have mentioned, therefore this is exempt under section 17(1) of FOISA.

I would advise that you contact each individual agency directly, who may be able to provide the information you have requested.
