Number of people eligible for a firefighters' pension scheme 2000-2023: FOI release

Information requested
Data that would quantify the total number of people that were eligible for a Firefighters' scheme pension between the period 2000-2023 or for however many years in that period that we can reliably gather data. This is to explore the possibility of using SPPA datasets to better understand how much of the population may have been involved with the work that firefighters typically undertake. This should include counts for members who SPPA has no financial liability for, such as firefighters who would have opted out of the scheme and so are not captured in the figures SPPA already publicises.
