Superfast, ultrafast and gigabit capable broadband infrastructure - Open Market Review: request for information - January 2025
An Open Market Review into current and planned broadband infrastructure across Scotland. The outcome will support the planning and prioritisation of public interventions and minimise the risk of disrupting commercial plans. Data collected will inform both R100 and Project Gigabit in Scotland.
Annex D: Technical definition
The technical definition is provided in the Subsidy Control Guidance Section[12] of the UK Government website.
The key areas are:
- Section 10.6 of the Detailed overview of the Gigabit Infrastructure Subsidy scheme[13]
- The Gigabit Infrastructure Subsidy Worked Example - Assessment Form for Gigabit Capable Solutions[14]. Please note, this worked example shall be used principally for contracting purposes, but may be used for other purposes (i.e. OMR/ PR) and therefore may be of use when responding to this OMR.
Even if you are familiar with the definition, you should re-check it for each return, as it may change from time to time.
