Palliative care strategy - service mapping survey: main findings report
Our clinical advisory and working groups undertook four complementary surveys to determine how general and specialist palliative care services at a Health Board level are addressing the needs of adults, children, their families and carers. This report covers the main findings from all four surveys.
Annex C: Phone Line Access
Adult Specialist Palliative Care Services in 8 Health Board areas described direct public access phone lines for advice or access to services. A variety of models are used and some services noted that phone lines have not been accessed frequently. Respondents reported phone access via in-patient units or shared professional lines which the public could access. The survey did not include questions around how access lines were advertised or made known to public, patients or families.
