This assessment is undertaken to estimate the costs, benefits and risks of the proposed boundary amendment for the West of Scotland MPA that may impact the public, private or third sector.

Implementation and delivery plan

The designation order for the West of Scotland MPA was made on 25 September 2020 and the Order came into effect on 9 October 2020. Amendment of this MPA boundary, subject to Scottish Ministers approval and public consultation process will involve amending the current designation order, following analysis of responses from public consultation.
