10. Enforcement, sanctions and monitoring

Section 53 of the Public Bodies (Joint Working) (Scotland) Act 2014 outlines that various bodies, such as local authorities, health boards and integration authorities, must have regard to any guidance issued by Scottish Ministers about its functions under or in relation to the Act.

Therefore, these bodies have a statutory duty to have regard to the guidance. Compliance will be monitored through dialogue with integration authorities. There will be no sanctions for non-compliance.
