1. Introduction

1.1.1 This Circular provides guidance on the Town and Country Planning (Fees for Applications) (Scotland) Regulations 2022 as amended ("the Regulations").

1.1.2 The Regulations were amended by the Town and Country Planning (Fees for Applications) Amendment Regulations 2024 which came into force on 12 December 2024 and prescribe the fees for planning applications made on or after that date. The Town and Country Planning (Fees for Applications and Deemed Applications) (Scotland) Regulations 2004 continue to apply to applications made before 1 April 2022.

1.1.3 This Circular supersedes Circular 2/2022.
