1. Please confirm what monthly progress reports for 2023 have been provided by Ferguson Marine to CMAL and then to Scottish Government.

2. What and when were the last set of progress reports provided to CMAL

3. What and when were the last set of progress reports provided to Scottish Government.

4. Why have no progress reports for 2023 been released to the public yet?

5. Who is responsible for delaying the release of these reports?

6. When did Ferguson Marine first contact the Maritime and Coastguard Agency regulator as well as the class society?

7. How often has the Maritime and Coastguard Agency been in discussion with Ferguson Marine?

8. When was the design information released to them?

9. Had they been provided sufficient design information prior to physical inspection? If so, when was this provided?

Response

1. Ferguson Marine (Port Glasgow) Ltd (FMPG) host monthly project meetings at their Port Glasgow shipyard for which a progress report is produced and shared with all relevant parties including Caledonian Maritime Assets Limited (CMAL) and Scottish Government.

4. The Scottish Government operates a publication scheme in relation to FMPG documentation, which involves publication of the CMAL, FMPG and Ministerial monthly progress reports. Resourcing pressures have led to some delays with the publication of the 2023 progress reports, but they will be published shortly.

5.  The Strategic Commercial Assets Division (SCAD) of the Directorate for Economic Development is responsible for publishing reports in line with our commitment to a transparent process. We expect the 2023 reports to be published shortly and apologise for the delay in doping so.
