Prohibition of the sale and supply of single-use vapes: Island Communities Impact Screening Assessment

Island Communities Impact Screening Assessment (ICIA) for the proposed prohibition on the sale and supply of single-use vapes in Scotland.

Decision

75. The Scottish Government has determined that a full ICIA is not required to be undertaken for this policy proposal. Evidence collected prior to the consultation period suggested no significantly different impacts for those living in island communities, and the public consultation did not generate contrary evidence.

76. Previous discussion across relevant Scottish Government departments, and pre-consultation engagement with island representatives also support the decision that a full island assessment is not required.
