Publications updates to Ministerial engagements, travel and gifts: FOI release

Information requested

Could you please supply original copies of the spreadsheets which have recently been replaced as the update only shows that there have been minor updates and not what the updates were.

The copies I am requesting are original copies for November 2016, March 2017, Oct 2017, September 2021 to June 2022, September 2022 and October 2022.

Could you please also include the reason why these were all updated and released - was there a single release of updated material which prompted the update (for example a correction to a ministers diary) or were there other reasons.

Response

Ministerial engagements, travel and gifts received are proactively published in line with the Scottish Ministerial Code. On occasion we require to update the published information. On 6 March 2023 we updated the information for the following two reasons, (i) an amendment to the status of ministerial gifts in November 2016, March 2017 and October 2017; and (ii) to include meetings in September 2021 to June 2022 and October 2022 which had originally been identified as internal meetings.

Copies of the original published records are attached at Annex A.
