Statutory guidance for Scotland's Redress Scheme. This guidance provides further information on the waiver, the contributions element of the scheme and other routes to redress which applicants may want to consider.

1. Relevant civil proceedings" are civil proceedings against the Scottish Ministers or scheme contributors in which the applicant seeks compensation or any other remedy in relation to abuse for which the applicant may potentially be eligible for a payment under the redress scheme.
2. The waiver also applies in respect of civil proceedings against the Scottish Ministers who are also contributing to the funding of the redress scheme.
