This guidance sits alongside the Remote Electronic Monitoring SSI, which came into force for scallop fishers on 17 June 2024.

5 “IP rating” means ingress protection rating as defined in international standard IEC 60529, setting out degrees of protection by enclosures against harmful ingress of water (Edition 2.2: International Electrotechnical Commission, 2013).
