Appendix J: Route Map

The Route Map shows the planning and implementation phases for implementing Model 4: Community Maternity Unit linked to Raigmore (also referred to as the “Moray Networked Model”). All implementation is to be managed by NHS Grampian, in conjunction with NHS Highland, and supported by the Scottish Government. The first diagram shows activity required for immediate implementation, within 6 months. Planning and implementation phases – within one year. Moray Networked Model implemented within two years. The second image illustrates Key Considerations / Contingencies for 2 to 10 years – Future Service Configuration Opportunities, 2 to 5 years scoping of a Rural Consultant-supported Maternity Unit at Dr Gray’s. 5-10 years and beyond looks at ongoing evaluation and assessment of the Moray Maternity Model.
