This publication presents the findings from a survey of residential rehabilitation facilities in Scotland to provide updated data on residential rehabilitation bed capacity.

Key Points

As at September 2024, there was a maximum capacity of 513 residential rehabilitation beds in Scotland across 25 facilities. This is an increase of 88 beds (21%) compared to August 2021 (425 beds).

Most residential rehabilitation facilities in Scotland (80%, n = 20) accept referrals from all Alcohol and Drug Partnership (ADP) areas.
