Information requested

1. All correspondence (including emails, attachments, typed or handwritten notes, letters, notes/records of phone calls, minutes of meetings, briefings, WhatsApp messages or otherwise) between the Scottish Government and the Crown Office and Procurator Fiscal Service regarding the Scottish Government’s Resource Spending Review. Please limit the dates of correspondence to 1 April 2022 to the present date.

2. All correspondence (including emails, attachments, typed or handwritten notes, letters, notes/records of phone calls, minutes of meetings, briefings, WhatsApp messages or otherwise) between the Scottish Government and the Crown Office and Procurator Fiscal Service regarding the Scottish Government’s Medium Term Financial Strategy. Please limit the dates of correspondence to 1 April 2022 to the present date.

3. All correspondence (including emails, attachments, typed or handwritten notes, letters, notes/records of phone calls, minutes of meetings, briefings, WhatsApp messages or otherwise) between the Scottish Government and the Crown Office and Procurator Fiscal Service regarding the Scottish Government’s Capital Spending Review update. Please limit the dates of correspondence to 1 April 2022 to the present date.

While our aim is to provide information whenever possible, in this instance we are unable to provide some of the information you have requested because exemptions under sections 25 (information otherwise accessible); s.27(1) (information intended for future publication); s.29(1)(a) (policy formulation); s.29(1)(b) (Ministerial communications); s.30(b)(i) (free and frank provision of advice); s.30(b)(ii) (free and frank exchange of views); s.30(c) (otherwise prejudice effective conduct of public affairs); and s.38(1)(b) (personal information) of FOISA apply to that information. The reasons why these exemptions apply are explained in Annex A to this letter.
