The Purchasing Power Standard (PPS) is the name given by Eurostat to the artificial currency unit in which the Purchasing Power Parities and real final expenditures for the EU 28 are expressed - namely, euros based on the EU 28.

Age dependency ratio is the ratio of dependents (people younger than 15 or older than 64 divided by the working-age population (those ages 15-64)). Data are shown as the proportion of dependents per 100 working-age population.
For the purposes of this analysis working-age population is defined as 15-64 due to the age categories for which population data is available from Eurostat sources.
