Contribution of carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions to Scotland's carbon footprint

CO2 is the main greenhouse gas in Scotland's carbon footprint. It accounted for 75.7 per cent of Scotland's total carbon footprint in 2016, up from 71.3 per cent in 1998. Between 2015 and 2016, Scotland's carbon dioxide footprint from all sources decreased by 6.9 per cent.
