Contribution of carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions to Scotland's carbon footprint

CO2 is the main greenhouse gas in Scotland's carbon footprint. It accounted for 73.5 per cent of Scotland's total carbon footprint in 2018, up from 68.5 per cent in 1998. Between 2017 and 2018, Scotland's carbon dioxide footprint from all sources increased by 1.7 per cent.
