Scotland's carbon footprint refers to estimates of Scotland's greenhouse gas emissions on a consumption basis.


Contribution of carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions to Scotland's carbon footprint

CO2 is the main greenhouse gas in Scotland's carbon footprint. It accounted for 77.8 per cent of Scotland's total carbon footprint in 2015, up from 73.6 per cent in 1998. Between 2014 and 2015, Scotland's carbon dioxide footprint from all sources rose marginally by 0.3%.
