Scotland’s International Goods Trade: Quarter 3 2022
This report contains trade in goods data from the latest release of HMRC's Regional Trade Statistics (RTS).
Total trade refers to the sum of goods exports and imports and provides an estimate of Scotland’s overall trade activity in goods. Compared to the first nine months of 2019, the value of Scotland’s total international trade in goods increased by 17.2% (up £7.5 billion) in the first nine months of 2022. Goods trade with EU countries increased by 17.0% (£3.4 billion), which was a larger increase than the UK (up 12.7%). Goods trade with non-EU countries rose by 17.4% (£4.1 billion) during this period, which was a smaller increase than for the UK (up 23.2%).
