Information requested

  1. How much the Scottish Government has spent on making its resources available in the Scots language over the last 10 years, from 2013 to date?
  2. How many documents/web pages or other resources have been translated into Scots?
  3. Who has translated the documents? If an external company, please detail which.
  4. How many times have these documents or resources been accessed or used? (For example a web page - how many times was this viewed or if a document, how many copies of this have been produced).

Can you also repeat the same but for the Gaelic language?

For ease, I have taken each of your questions and inserted the responses below. These have been separated in to each language:

Scots

  1. How much the Scottish Government has spent on making its resources available in the Scots language over the last 10 years, from 2013 to date?

    Three.
  3. Who has translated the documents? If an external company, please detail which.
    Translation was provided by the Scots Language Centre and Education Scotland.
  4. How many times have these documents or resources been accessed or used? (For example a web page - how many times was this viewed or if a document, how many copies of this have been produced).

Gaelic

  1. How much the Scottish Government has spent on making its resources available in the Scots language over the last 10 years, from 2013 to date?
    This information is not held centrally.
  2. How many documents/web pages or other resources have been translated into Gaelic?
    Forty.
  3. Who has translated the documents? If an external company, please detail which.
    Translations were provided by the Gaelic and Scots team in the Scottish Government.
  4. How many times have these documents or resources been accessed or used? (For example a web page - how many times was this viewed or if a document, how many copies of this have been produced).
    This information is not held centrally.
