Scottish Carer's Assistance: consultation - easy read
Easy read version of the consultation on proposals for Scottish Carer’s Assistance, a new Scottish benefit which will replace Carer’s Allowance, and be delivered by Social Security Scotland.
Case transfer
Once we start paying Scottish Carer's Assistance, we need to move people on to the new benefit. Carers who are getting Carer's Allowance will start getting Scottish Carer's Assistance instead. This is called case transfer.
We need to make sure people get the get right payments at the right time. No one will be asked to apply again. We will tell people what will happen and when.
