Scottish Civil Estate: efficiency and sustainability report 2018 to 2019
Scottish Ministers are required to lay before the Scottish Parliament this annual report which uses key performance indicators to assess progress in improving the efficiency and sustainability of the Scottish Civil Estate.
1. Introduction
This is the ninth annual report on the efficiency and sustainability of the Scottish Civil Estate and has been produced in accordance with the provisions of the Climate Change (Scotland) Act 2009, which can be viewed in Appendix 1 of this report.
Scottish Ministers are required to lay before the Scottish Parliament a report containing an assessment of the progress made during the year towards improving the efficiency and the contribution to sustainability of buildings that are part of the civil estate in Scotland.
A second obligation is to report on the number of properties acquired by Scottish Ministers within the financial year that do not fall within the top quartile of energy performance.
