Roles of each of the members of the Scottish Commemorations Panel.
The Panel members all bring specific skills to the Panel. These are detailed below:
Professor Norman Drummond
- chair of the panel

- strategic consideration of panel suggestions
- production of reports to Scottish Ministers
Brigadier David Allfrey
- events management
- cultural links and opportunities, especially with Edinburgh Festivals
- tourism – spotting opportunities and liaison with key organisations
- 2014 events from the Tattoo
- commemoration of the Army
Duke of Buccleuch
- local authority engagement via Lord Lieutenants, Royal Company of Archers (QBGS)
- scoping potential for commemorations involving Gretna – Quintinshill Rail Disaster 1915
Maggie Cunningham
- broadcasting – links with media
- presentational aspects of the programme
- engagement with the Gaelic community – find out what's planned
Lieutenant General Sir Alistair Irwin
- veterans issues
- liaison with RBLS, Veterans Scotland and Poppy Scotland
- Erskine Hospital – how to reflect within programme
