NHS Blood and transplant update

New Non-Executive Directors appointed to the NHSBT Board

Professor Lorna Marson, Professor of Transplantation at the University of Edinburgh, Penny McIntyre, an experienced HR Director, and Ian Murphy an experienced Chief Financial Officer, assumed their roles on the 1 March.

Lorna is a Professor of Transplantation and Head of Deanery of Clinical Sciences at the University of Edinburgh and an Honorary Consultant Transplant Surgeon at the Royal Infirmary in Edinburgh. Lorna brings a wealth of transplant experience and expertise to the Board which is very welcome and will be a very valuable advocate for our work.
