HTA review

The HTA has recently published its review of 2023/24. This contains a comprehensive overview of the living organ donation sector across the UK including numbers of approvals, and the training delivered to all Independent Assessors.

Living donation

For the period 01 January to 31 July 2024, we have assessed 54 living organ donation cases where the transplant was due to take place in Scotland.

Seven of these cases were for donors and recipients taking part in the National Kidney Sharing Scheme.
