Survey delivery

The collection will be through the online procxed.net tool. Standard quality assurance summary tables continue to be available. These are designed to give you at a glance summary stats on the key figures in the survey to help with the upload and validation process. Summary tables provided are:

Table 1: Count of schools, total roll and total capacity (by sector)

Table 2: Summary of rebuild / refurbishment projects (by sector)

Table 3: Summary of condition (by sector)

Table 4: Summary of suitability (by sector)

Table 5: All School level data

The survey will be made live on 1 April 2024 with a survey date as at 1 April and a return date of 3 May 2024. There will be an additional round of quality assurances carried out by statisticians in May/June 2024.

We will provide individual Excel copies of the data once quality assurance has been completed.

Core facts data will be published on gov.scot in the September publication, School Estate Statistics. Previous editions of this publication can be found in the school education statistics collection.
