Mixed farm income highest in last ten years
The average income of mixed farms increased to £59,900 in 2021‑22, its highest estimate over the last ten years. Increased cereal and livestock outputs contributed to increased income.

Mixed farms tend to make more money than the average farm, but experience fluctuations in performance over time. Mixed farms usually engage in complementary activities like growing crops to feed their cattle.
