Scottish Government Investment Group Progress Report on Performance Against the Committed List for Quarter 3 2023/24

Sets out how Scottish Water is progressing with the delivery of projects and programmes included on the ‘Committed List’ and confirms the position up to the end of December 2023 (Q3 2023/24).

Wastewater SR15 Completion Projects

With overall IPOD points of 66, the SR15 Completion sub-portfolio is out with the target range of 75 to 77.

Start on Site

No projects started on site during Q3 bringing the total number of projects achieving the Start On Site (SOS) milestone to 7 with performance being on target at 7 points.

Acceptance

No projects achieved acceptance during Q3, bringing the total number of completed projects delivering benefit to customers to 30 which is behind the target of 34 points. 4 projects in the SR15 Completion sub-portfolio have been reforecast. Reasons for reforecasting can be found in the table below.

4 projects (S-WW-NI-061222-Esk WWPS-Refurbish - replace rising mains within the wet well, IFOS - Burn Road Inverness - CSO, Provost Driver Court - Sewer repair and ground stabilisation project, E-WW-I-070222-Lossiemouth Coulardbank No1 Storm WWPS Screw pump and MCC replacement) started on site during Q3 bringing the total number of projects achieving the Start On Site (SOS) milestone to 22 with performance being in the top half of the range of 16 to 25 points.

1 project (Shieldhall WWTW Grade 5 HC Sewer Ph1) achieved acceptance during Q3, bringing the total number of completed projects delivering benefit to customers to 39 which is out with the target range of 42 to 44 points. 4 in the Wastewater Network sub-portfolio have been reforecast. 5 projects (SR21 ES Forfar STW Control Systems Replacement, DALDERSE WWTW 1966 NS903822, Rosewell WwTW - Interim Growth Solution SAF, E-WWNI-050821-Kirkcaldy STW-Renew media in 1st stage biopur (BAFF) process, Shieldhall WWTW - cleaning of Inlet Delta Storm Bypass Culvert and Velocity Channels at Pre-Sed Bldng) achieved acceptance during Q3, bringing the total number of completed projects delivering benefit to customers to 54 which is within the target range albeit at the lower threshold of 54 to 61 points.

5 projects (Stewarton WwTW - Growth, IR18 Allowance - Newton Septic Tank, HV Asset Replacement Phase 1 - Shieldhall WwTW, Lochwinnoch WwTW - Inlet Screw Pumps Refurbishment - 500k, Catrineholm WwTW- Emergency Project to Maintain CAR Licence Compliance) achieved financial completion during Q3, taking the total achieved to 47 which is out with the target range of 51 to 53 points. 6 in the Wastewater Treatment sub-portfolio have been reforecast.
