The Scottish Government media and social media expenditure for 2022, with expenditure broken down for television, radio , newspapers, and social media companies.

The answer to your question is as follows. The total Scottish Government spend on media (including social media) between 1 January 2022 and up to and including 31 October 2022 is £11,590,071. This is split as follows:

  • TV - £3,928,243
  • Radio - £1,173,089
  • Out of Home posters - £1,617,425
  • Cinema - £63,130
  • Press - £742,880
  • Digital Display - £2,215,146
  • Social Media - £1,850,158 (Facebook - £1,145,379, Snapchat - £84,523, TikTok - £111,737, Twitter - £390,840, LinkedIn - £3,875, Twitch - £113,804)
