Scottish Health Survey: content review outcomes report
This report summarises changes that have and will be made to the content of the Scottish Health Survey (SHeS) from 2024 onwards. Some of these changes do not apply to the 2024 survey and will be made to future years.
Stress at work
There was support to retain the stress at work module, with a request from PHS to include a new question that is included in the Understanding Society longitudinal survey, but is not suitable for their monitoring and planning purposes. We are, therefore, going to retain the existing module with the addition of the below question at the end of the module. The stress at work module with the addition of the next question will next be included in SHeS in 2025.
New question:
I would like you to think about your employment prospects over the next 12 months. Thinking about losing your job by being sacked, laid-off, made redundant or not having your contract renewed, how likely do you think it is that you will lose your job during the next 12 months?
