Scottish Peace Programme: request for proposals.

This is a request for proposals for a supplier to support the delivery of the Scottish Peace Programme, including establishment of a Scottish Peace Platform and the 1325 Women in Conflict Fellowships. The closing date for applications is 26 July 2024.


Annex A: Outline Theory of Change

Impact:

  • Scotland contributes to and has greater influence in building sustainable peace and resilience overseas, with enhanced representation of women in peace building processes who are positioned to benefit more equally from crisis prevention and humanitarian action.

Outcomes:

  • Greater coherence and impact of existing peace-building initiatives and activities
  • Evidence-based dialogue based on feminist approaches to peace building takes place amongst government, civil society and other relevant actors
  • Increased engagement of Scottish stakeholders in conflict resolution and peace-building activities
  • Increased confidence and capacity of women peace-builders
  • Knowledge on gender perspectives is expanded through provision of substantive inputs and dialogues to global intergovernmental processes

Outputs:

  • Enhanced collaboration between Scottish peace stakeholders
  • Partnerships established with stakeholders around the world for the prevention, mitigation, and resolution of conflict.
  • Women peace-builders trained
  • Increased opportunities for women to engage in peace-building processes
  • Strengthened community of practice for 1325 Fellows and peace-building stakeholders in Scotland
  • Improved evidence based for effective peace-building
  • A mid-term evaluation or review which also takes into account recent reports/literature in order to assess quality of outputs and likely contribution to outcomes, and which is capable of setting out the extent to which a Peace Platform is a model which if continued can develop into something more formal.
