Scottish Peace Programme: request for proposals.

This is a request for proposals for a supplier to support the delivery of the Scottish Peace Programme, including establishment of a Scottish Peace Platform and the 1325 Women in Conflict Fellowships. The closing date for applications is 22 July 2024.

H. Timeframes for the Programme

There is a period of 8 weeks between the Calls for Proposals being published (27 May 2024) and the deadline for receipt of application forms (22 July 2024).

The Scottish Government will evaluate the Calls for Proposals and will notify the successful organisation(s) by 12 August 2024. There may then be a period during which the successful applicant and the International Development Team will work together to agree revisions to both the aims & objectives and the budget.

Once agreed, and subject to the successful completion of due diligence checks, the successful applicant will be expected to commence work on the programme on 1 November 2024 for an initial period of 3 years. We expect that budget forecasting and activities in Year 1 for both Strands will be proportionately reduced due to starting half-way through the financial year.

The successful applicant will be required to report twice yearly (30 October and 30 April) on progress against objectives and provide an update on budget expenditure. Regular review meetings will be arranged over each year of the grant to cover progress meetings, MEL meetings and meetings to agree the Annual Report. The requirement for these, and the most appropriate time to schedule will be discussed with the successful grant holder, by the International Development Team. It may be possible that some of these meetings could be online, as appropriate. Below provides an indicative timetable for the Programme’s key milestones in Year 1.
