Salmon Catch by Fishing Method

In 2023, 98% of the total annual reported catch, including released and retained fish, was accounted for by the rod fisheries. Net and coble and fixed engine fisheries each comprised approximately 1%. Rod fisheries accounted for 82% of the retained catch, compared to 17% for net and coble fisheries, and 1% for fixed engine fisheries.
