Scottish Welfare Fund Statistics: update to 30 September 2023

During July to September 2023, decisions were made on 21,000 Community Care Grant applications (Table 12) with an acceptance rate of 49% (Table 14 and Chart 6) and decisions were made on 65,785 Crisis Grant applications (Table 15) with an acceptance rate of 63% (Table 17 and Chart 7).

Local authorities awarded 10,275 Community Care Grants, 1,830 (15%) fewer than July to September 2022 (Table 13, Chart 7) and 41,750 Crisis Grants, 3,135 (7%) fewer than July to September 2022 (Table 16, Chart 7).
