Scottish Welfare Fund Statistics: update to 31 December 2023

During October to December 2023, decisions were made on 22,130 Community Care Grant applications (Table 12) with an acceptance rate of 45% (Table 14 and Chart 6) and decisions were made on 60,100 Crisis Grant applications (Table 15) with an acceptance rate of 61% (Table 17 and Chart 7).

Local authorities awarded 10,060 Community Care Grants, 1,855 (16%) fewer than October to December 2022 (Table 13, Chart 7) and 36,860 Crisis Grants, 5,815 (14%) fewer than October to December 2022 (Table 16, Chart 7).
