How much has been spent so far and how much is it planned to spend on consultants in connection with the Introduction of the National Care Service? Are all consultancy contracts put out to open tender as a matter of policy? If not which National Care Service contracts have not been put out to tender?

The answer to your question is:

  • The Scottish Government has spent a total of £705,380.80 in relation to consultants in connection with the introduction of a National Care Service.
  • The Scottish Government makes use of both the UK Government Crown Commercial Services Framework and the open market in relation to its procurement activities depending on which represents the most suitable route to access services.
  • The following contracts have been awarded under the UK Government Crown Commercial
