Annex B: Agreed Remit Items
1.1. Remit Item 1 – Fact Finding Status/Position Update
Remit Purpose - Establish status, outcome and any resultant action following reviews of 2023-24 financial transactions and of the response to the action plan following the Audit Scotland s22 Report.
This remit item will not re-perform work undertaken by WICS or its internal audit provider. This remit item will seek to establish work already undertaken to implement the action plan, to inform the approach to the remit item below.
1.2. Remit Item 2 – Scottish Government Sponsorship Oversight and Governance
Remit Purpose – Review of controls put in place since the s22 Report was published to enhance and strengthen SG sponsorship oversight and governance with WICS. This will include considering key findings from the Ryan review and how those have been implemented in this context, including sponsorship capability and the effectiveness of the SG relationship with WICS and rhythm of Ministerial progress reporting.
