The equality data we collect

Justice organisations should aim to gather data on the nine ‘protected characteristics’ included in the Equality Act:

  • age
  • disability
  • gender reassignment
  • marriage and civil partnership
  • pregnancy and maternity
  • race
  • religion and belief
  • sex
  • sexual orientation.
